Accessibility mapping

This series of maps was created to empower and encourage young people with disabilities to use the train to visit local day trip destinations. I worked in collaboration with South Western Rail and charity ‘Rose Road’, undertaking the entire data collection and cartographic design process.

Routes shown on these maps were deemed to be the safest and most accessible for people with many different accessibility needs. Custom iconography and symbols were created, as well as a colour-blind friendly base map style.
